IMMIP participation at the Conference on Tropical Medicine and Global Health 2024 Prof. Achim Hoerauf, director IMMIP, Prof. Marc Hübner and other IMMIP Colleagues recently participated in the Conference on Tropical Medicine and Global Health 2024, held in Düsseldorf. The event, co-hosted by the German Society of Tropical Medicine (DTG) and the Swiss Society for Tropical and Travel Medicine (SSTTM), gathered experts from around the world to discuss the latest in tropical and travel medicine. Prof. Hoerauf co-chaired the session on Parasitology, while Prof. Marc Hübner presented on Filarial diseases and their immunological impact on the human host. Dr. Manuel Ritter discussed Podoconiosis: Tackling the obstacles of non-filarial lymphoedema. Additionally, several posters featuring research from Bonn and our partner in Cameroon during the NTDs session. The conference facilitated important discussions on the strategic future of global health and fostered international collaboration, with contributions from Africa and beyond.
