Erasmus+ Program, International Credit Mobility

The University of Bonn has a strong regional focus on research cooperation with countries in the Global South. The Institute of Medical Microbiology, Immunology and Parasitology (IMMIP) has for over 20 years had an equal partner research cooperation with the  Kumasi Centre for Collaborative Research in Tropical Medicine. In July 2020, the long standing cooperation between IMMIP and KCCR /KNUST was further funded by Erasmus+ in the program line "International Credit Mobility" by the European Union. The funding will run for a period of three years, i.e. until August 2023. The Erasmus+ "International Credit Mobility", is intended to enable the participating working groups to offer more joint teaching concepts and to establish structured exchange programs for students, teaching and science-support staff. Exchanges of students, doctoral candidates, teaching and administrative staff are planned. Due to Corona, these measures are expected to start during the 2021/22 winter semester.
