Since 2021, the 30th of January has been recognized as the World NTD Day. The day is aimed at creating better awareness on NTDs and the burden it creates in the population. Since 2021, world leaders, politicians, scientists and the NTD community as a whole, send messages to mark and create awareness. Prof. Achim Hoerauf, joined other NTD partners this year, as the Speaker of the German Network against NTDs (DNTDs), to express DNTDs’ commitment on bring together German and international stakeholders in the fight against NTDs.
