Blood Cultures:

Only plastic blood culture vials can be sent via pneumatic tube mail (Rohrpost). Information on order numbers for the new vials and general information on blood culture diagnostics can be found here here

If you have any queries, please call the bacteriology and mycology laboratory on 287-15532; for specialist advice, please call 287-15952 during office hours.

Sample Collection:

• Monday – Friday: 7.00 to 18.30 hrs  (7 am to 6.30 pm)
• Saturday: 8.00 to13.00 hrs ( 8 am  to 1 pm)

• Sundays 10.00 to 13.00 hrs ( 10 am to 1 pm)

There is an on call doctor available on phone outside the regular working hours:

Our Institute Does Not Have an Outpatient Clinic!

In cases of emergency, contact the Tropical Medicine Outpatient Clinic (HIV Outpatient Clinic) an the University Hospital Bonn - 287-16558.
