The Design and Development of a Multicentric Protocol Investigating the Impact of Doxycycline on Lymphodema

 

Performing a multicentric clinical study is challenging, especially when it is a double-blind, placebo-control. Scientists from IMMIP-Bonn, Cameroon, Ghana, India, Mali, Sri Lanka, United Kingdom and United States of America, have published their study protocol, providing details on challenges faced and how they were resolved. The ongoing study, is conducted by 2 consortia,  in six sites and is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and United States Agency for International Development (USAID) (grant # AID-OAA-G-14-00008).
